John Piper biography
|
John Piper is one of the best known artists working in Cornwall today. His paintings of the carns, cliffs, farm buildings and moors of West Penwith have been exhibited throughout the UK and abroad. Written by his son Matthew, this book covers his 45 year painting career, from the first visits to galleries in St Ives in the 1960s, to the present day. It details the artists whose paintings have influenced John’s style and describes the evolution of his work from semi-abstract landscapes to the most recent compositions of Cornish cottages, with examples of paintings throughout.
The book (52 colour pages), is priced at £10 and is available from ELEVEN AND A HALF now. Postage and packaging is free.
