Newsletter #2, November 2013 Firstly a big thank-you to everyone who came and visited us at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea last month. It was a fantastically well attended event and all of our artists were delighted by the response to their work. Ben Catt's work was particulalry well received - we not only sold all the work he had given us for Battersea but also that for our remaining two events of the year too. I believe he's now hard at work putting together a couple of pieces for our Christmas Show. This week we're off for our annual trip north of the border for the Edinburgh Art Fair. Then it's back to London for our annual end of year show, a group exhibition featuring all of the artists whose work we've been representing in the last couple of months. Please keep an eye on the website as new work is now arriving for this show and will appear there first. Hope to see you at one of these events. Matt |

Edinburgh Art Fair, 14th-17th November This will be our third trip to the Edinburgh Art Fair, now in its 9th year and held, as usual, at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange. It's well worth a visit - 50 galleries from across Europe showing a wide range of art work. There are also talks, demonstrations, and print workshops for those willing to get their hands dirty! We'll be in our usual spot on stand A11 with recent work including paintings by Neil Davies, John Piper, Michael Praed and Terry Whybrow, sculpture by Chris Buck, and ceramics by Lincoln Kirby Bell. If you'd like a free ticket and haven't already received one please reply to this email and I'll leave one on the door for you. More details here. |

2013 Christmas Show, 26th-30th November We hope you'll be able to join us for our 5th Annual Christmas Show in Marylebone at the end of the month. It's taking place at the A&D Gallery on Chiltern Street. There's a Private View on the evening of the 26th (6pm-9pm) and the show itself runs daily, Tuesday-Saturday. The show will feature work by all of the artists whom we've represented in the recent run of fairs. We're expecting new work by Ben Catt, Neil Davies, John Piper, Michael Praed and Terry Whybrow between now and the start of the exhibition. You can see what we've received so far here. |

New paintings by Terry Whybrow It's always a pleasure receiving new paintings from Terry. Not only does the work come wrapped in perfectly fitting bubblewrap bags and hand-made cardboard boxes, the paintings are always a delight too. The latest couple are no exception. Painting 1010 (left) is the most recent, completed just 4 weeks ago. You can see all of Terry's paintings that we currently have available here. |

New paintings by Neil Davies With his Scottish roots and the painterly nature of his work, Neil's paintings have proved a hit each time we've taken them north of the border. We recently collected a handful of pieces ready for the Edinburgh Art Fair which you can see first here. In fact, Full Bloom (right), is something more than a handful, being fully 4 feet square! But it's a truly spectacular piece and an interesting diversion from the seascapes that typify much of his current work. |

Plans for 2014 We have a number of exciting plans for 2014. As well as our now regular fairs, AAF Hamsptead (June), AAF Bristol (September), AAF Battersea (October) and Edinburgh Art Fair (November) we also have a couple of new fairs that we'd like to attend, one in the south east and one further afield. We are also working on a very interesting group show for early summer and we'll be holding our annual Summer and Christmas exhibitions in Cornwall and London respectively. It's a bit early to talk details or dates but we'll let you know as soon as these are finalised. In the meantime, if you see something on our website that you'd like to take a closer look at in person, please give us a shout. You can come and visit us in Spitalfields to view the work or, if practical, I can bring it to you instead. |
