ELEVEN AND A HALF

 Newsletter #1, October 2013

Welcome to our first newsletter! I hope these will become a regular event, bringing you news about our exhibitions, art fairs, new work by our artists and any other news about our business. However, I’ll only be sending out a newsletter if we have something to say – which won’t necessarily be monthly – and they’ll replace the other emails I usually send out. So we won’t be clogging up your inbox any more than we already do!

Next week we’ll be at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park. This is pretty much our biggest event of the year and as a result we have been busy collecting new work from several artists ready to show there. New paintings by Ben Catt and Neil Davies are currently at the framers but we have links to new work by several other artists below.

Thanks for reading the newsletter. Hope to see you at one of our events soon.

Affordable Art Fair, Battersea, 24th-27th October

Next week we’ll be at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park. This is probably our biggest event of the year and as a result we have been busy collecting new work from several artists ready to show there. New paintings by Ben Catt and Neil Davies are currently at the framers but we have links to new work by several other artists below.

If you’ve not been before it’s really worth a visit – 113 galleries from across the world, all in one venue. There’s a range of activities to take part in and some great art on display. There’s a half-price ticket attached to this email that you can print out and take along with you. More details on our website here.

New paintings by Michael Praed

We’ve just collected a large amount of new work by Michael Praed. He’s had a busy summer with a major exhibition at Geevor tine mine but still found time to produce some fantastic work for us. You can see the new paintings on our website here.

New sculpture by Chris Buck

Over the summer Chris was elected Chair of the Penwith Society, the collective in St Ives founded by Barbara Hepworth and Ben Nicholson. It’s a great honour and he follows in some esteemed footsteps. He’s also been very busy completing a large commission for the Law Society. We’re delighted with the new work he produced for us. We’ll be showing it in London and Edinburgh between now and the end of the year but you can see it first here.

New ceramics by Lincoln Kirby Bell

We were in Cornwall in September for our annual Summer Show. While there we made a trip to Lincoln’s studio near Newlyn harbour to collect some of his latest work. He’s been producing a number of new items – bottle vases, cylindrical vases – as well as several different designs. I’m particularly keen on the new frog reliefs.

Much of the work is earmarked for the Edinburgh Art Fair where last year it proved a big hit. However, we have taken a few orders recently via the website and you can see most of the new work here.
